Success does not discriminate against age, gender, race, political belief or religion. Yet some have achieved so much while others have done so little.
Successful executives, including those in the network marketing industry, stand out from the crowd. Fortunately, success, like leadership, can be studied.
One common denominator of many successful fast-track multi-level marketing businesses is a team effort. Their leaders are not solitary souls singing “I stand alone”; most of the visible successes are partnerships. In a study of Midwestern companies that had substantial track records, 6% were founded by a single entrepreneur, 54% were started by a two-person partnership, and 40% had three or four more founders. The same study surveyed slow-or-low-growth companies and discovered that 42% of those were solo ventures, 43% were partnerships (two people), and 15% had three or more founders.
Network marketers should look at these stats with a smile because most MLM companies foster a team atmosphere. Leadership is not always a solitary occupation, but rather a way of working together as a team with everyone responsible for a company’s survival and success.
